Semigallia is a historical region that once was stretching across Latvian and Lithuanian territories. It is well-known for its historical heritage of Semigallian tribes. Nowadays, the Lithuanian part of Semigallia is an unofficial subregion of Aukštaitija, that stretches along the border of Latvia.
