In his Vineyard Delicious Grapes situated in Butniūnai Village, Joniškis district, Semigallia, Giedrius Balčiūnas grows more than 300 dessert grape varieties. The huge bunches of grapes are grown inside a 20 are size greenhouse. The vineyard mostly grows Ukrainian grape varieties, but there are Latvian, American, Bulgarian, German, Hungarian and even Japanese grape varieties too. Dessert grape varieties such as Jupiter, Arkadia, Polonaise, Romeo, Hamlet and others are grown here. Dessert berries – delicious and made to be eaten, can be a great festive table decoration as well as suitable for making juice. The professional grape grower sells not only berries, but also saplings and branches for propagation. Degustation and educational activities, where you can taste various types of delicious berries, get to know the grape varieties and their growing ins and outs, take place in the vineyard.
